Stick-Built Framing Generally, the framer of a stick-built home will measure and cut studs to produce interior and exterior walls. After the walls are built they are connected to the structure and sheathing (OSB or plywood) is cut and applied.
Site-Built Panelized Framing Generally, the framer will set and connect manufactured panels to the structure. The framer does not need to measure and cut studs, window openings or apply sheathing (OSB or plywood) since the panels were delivered "ready to install".
The main difference between a site-built panelized home and a stick-built home is that in a panelized home the walls are built and the exterior sheathing is applied in the factory and not on site as they are in a stick built home.
